Work up a green sweat with annual ‘Run to the Pub’
The race slots are filling up fast but there’s still time to register for Pub 317’s 2022 Run to the Pub! Following its virtual event last year, thousands of 10K and half-marathon racers are expected to don their finest St. Patrick’s Day attire before gathering at the starting line on Saturday, March 19th.
Participants will include those looking to run a personal best on the new for ‘22 course map, creative costume enthusiasts, and everyone in between. Registering for the event earns participants a technical race shirt while supplies last, finisher’s medal and a well-deserved beer at the finish line after party in Downtown Bozeman (for those 21+).
Run to the Pub began 15 years ago when one of the owners of Pub 317 motivated a few friends for a St. Patrick’s Day jog that ended with a beer at the bar. The event steadily grew from there, now hosting thousands of racers from all over the map.
The event is more than just a chance to get outside and have a good time – it’s also a way to aid the efforts of local nonprofits with a portion of the proceeds benefiting area organizations.
Please note: there will not be a grand prize drawing for a trip to Ireland to compete in the Dublin Marathon. Event organizers hope to bring back the tradition in 2023.
