The Livingston Depot Foundation will be holding its thirteenth annual Wine and Beer Tasting
Friday, November 6th from 6 to 8pm at the Livingston Depot Center.
The popular event assembles a range of regional craft brewers and international specialty wines with appetizers by different local restaurants and caterers. Live music will be provided by the Swingley Jazz Trio, and the evening is further livened with a raffle prize and numerous silent auction items by artists and businesses, typically including things like overnight getaways, fine dining, and vintage clothing and jewelry. The Swingley Jazz Trio, which has performed at past events, combines soulful jazz with a smooth character. Featuring Matt Ridgeway on piano, John Moreford on bass, and Garrett Stannard on the drums, this core trio has grown together with a wide repertoire including both classic and Latin jazz. The raffle prize wraps up the evening with a “Gourmet Extravaganza,” an international collection of fine food, wines, cheeses, and other indulgent delights. The Livingston Depot Foundation depends on community support to sustain its historic preservation and educational mission at the heart of Livingston and Park County, combining service as a museum and community center. Celebrating its thirtieth year in 2015, the Depot remains popular with guests and visitors is a credit to the members and friends who continue their support, anchoring the downtown and introducing guests to area history and character each year. The Foundation’s trustees are particularly appreciative of the businesses and individuals who support this event through sponsorship, silent auction gifts, and other volunteer assistance. Tickets for the event are limited, and advance purchase is highly recommended. Tickets are $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Admission opens the door to wine and beer tastings, appetizers, entertainment, prizes, and a lively evening. Advance reservations and purchase may be made by contacting the Livingston Depot at 406-222-2300. •
