Wild Joe*s Coffee Spot in downtown Bozeman is a great place for a caffeine fix, but it also doubles as a live music venue for local artists and those passing through our not-so-little mountain town. Here’s a look at what’s coming up in November!
DIGISAURUS will follow with a FREE show on Thursday, November 10th from 5–7pm. This is the brand new “future pop/rock” project from artist and producer James Allison. Featuring some of Ohio’s best musicians and visual artists, DIGISAURUS is dedicated to the evolution of music and art through technology and collaboration. The collective recently released their debut EP No More Room for Love, produced with Mike Landolt (Maroon 5, Mushroomhead, Michael Franti) earlier this summer. DIGISAURUS’ new record moves through multiple musical eras from ‘60s pop to modern day funk, all while dealing with the dismissal of love and conflict within the human psyche. DIGISAURUS marked their live debut in 2015 as they shared the stage with bands like FIDLAR, Joywave, Cayucas, Bully, and Genevieve Schatz.
Christy Hays will perform a FREE show on Friday, November 11th from 5–7pm. Hays’ two recent EPs, O’ Montana and Caliche reflect both the singer/songwriter’s complicated, dual nature and the sounds of the many places she’s called home. O’ Montana is a gorgeous folk and country flavored solo collection and a natural progression from Hays’ 2012 album Drought. Despite the difference in approach and musical styles, both EPs capture Hays’ distinctive artistic voice. Her songs resonate with a vulnerable rawness that exposes her emotional baggage and scar tissue, but never veer into self-pity. There is a sense of underlying optimism in her music and resiliency in her voice. Fans of artists like Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris, Joe Pug, the Old 97’s, and Neil Young will find much to love in the music of Christy Hays. Andy Strauss will bring some bluegrass based folk to Wild Joe*s on Saturday, November 13th from 5–7pm. This is a FREE show. Wild Joe*s Coffee Spot is located in the heart of historic downtown Bozeman. Their aim is to serve the best coffee, espresso, and tea drinks in Montana—but they’re more than just that! With a capacity of 98 people,
Wild Joe*s is also one of Bozeman’s most popular spots for eclectic live music. Wild Joe*s is located at 18 West Main Street. Learn more about these and other upcoming events at www.wildjoescoffee.com/. •
