The Warren Miller Performing Arts Center offers Southwest Montana audiences plenty of opportunities to experience live stage entertainment in Big Sky this fall season.
Dynamic multi-disciplinary circus artists Losers Cirque perform on Sunday, October 20th. The eclectic show begins at 7pm.
The troupe will perform The Audition, a compelling exploration of human competitiveness and the extremes individuals go to in their pursuit of success. Blending circus and physical theater, the show delves into the psychological and physical boundaries people cross to achieve victory. Acrobatics, dance, and live music serve as the primary expressions of the performance with drama, singing, and juggling also incorporated. Duct tape is a key visual element, defining space for movement or paralyzing competitors.
Witness an artful fusion of dance and robotics with Huang Yi & KUKA on Sunday, October 29th. Their performance begins at 7pm.
Acclaimed Taiwanese choreographer, dancer and inventor Yi and his robot companion blend razor sharp precision and stunning artistry, harmoniously weaving together the art of dance and the science of mechanical engineering in a poetic work, flawlessly intertwining modern dance and visual arts with the realm of robotics. Their performance is a process of beautifying the sorrow and sadness of Huang’s childhood – an expression of loneliness, self-doubt, self-realization and self-comfort.
