Located 16 miles NE of Bozeman, Montana on Highway 86 is one of the most radical snowboarding mountains in the U.S. What’s so radical about Bridger Bowl?
The terrain for one. Burton Snowboards has chosen Bridger Bowl twice in six
years to shoot their national and international catalogs. There have also been
several Warren Miller and Greg Stump films partially shot at Bridger Bowl. The
lift ticket prices are also radical…radically cheap! Our price for a full day
adult lift ticket is only $30. And what’s most radical about Bridger Bowl is our
nonprofit status. We have no owners to pay. We are a bonafide community ski and
snowboard area, whose sole purpose is to provide a quality ski and snowboarding
experience at an affordable price. Bridger Bowl is a kicked back area, with no
glitz and glitter. However, we do have excellent facilities with all the
services to make your time on the mountain comfortable and very enjoyable.

Bridger Bowl has 800 acres of lift served terrain with some of the best
alpine riding found, anywhere. The mountain offers many exciting black diamond
runs in areas like Avalanche Gulch and the North Bowl. Over 40% of the terrain
is rated expert. Bridger is also loaded with natural terrain features all over
the mountain. You’ll find three major bowls, four gullies, avalanche gulches,
chutes and many opportunities to catch serious air. After you have experienced
all that, then you might feel ready to hit the extreme terrain on the “Ridge”.

The “Ridge” at Bridger Bowl has become “extremely” popular over the past
fifteen years amongst many expert riders, film makers and snowboarding
journalist throughout the world. The Ridge includes all the terrain above the
lifts within the north and south boundary lines of Bridger Bowl. This
north-south running range features over two miles from north to south, and
encompasses over 400 additional acres. The variety of terrain includes steep,
rock-wall chutes, technically challenging couloirs, forbidding cliff bands,
alluvial fanned snow fields, a prominent east-running nose with both, north and
south facing lines, and several high-alpine glades. The ridge is accessed from
the top of the Bridger Lift (8,100). Access to the area requires a vigorous hike
up 400 vertical feet which takes between 15-20 minutes depending on you level of
conditioning. To snowboard the ridge, you should be an expert rider with
knowledge of the terrain. Furthermore, and avalanche transceiver (457 kHz only),
shovel and partner are also required.

Most of the night life and lodging is found in Bozeman, only 20 minutes down
the road. This active community is home of Montana State University and is also
a gateway tourist area for Yellowstone National Park. Bozeman is culturally well
endowed with many great restaurants and bars. You can find a full range of music
from alternative to country and plenty of locals to enjoy it with. Because
Bozeman has so many lodging properties to serve summer business, there are an
abundance of lodging available in the winter and prices are very competitive.

More than 69 named runs with expansive bowls, powder glades, winding trails
and groomed slopes covering 2,000 acres on the Gallatin National Forest. 2,000
vertical feet of lift-served terrain with 500 additional vertical feet on nearly
400 acres for the adventurous expert on Bridger’s “ridge.” Avalanche transceiver
(457khz), shovel and skiing partner required. One third of lift-accessible
skiing groomed. 25% beginner, 35% intermediate, 40% advanced.
