TWANG fronts Chico block party, plus shows by Red Elvises & Larry Myer
Already working its way to its final stretch, summertime continues in Southwest Montana with sunny days and plenty of events and activities to choose from. Chico Hot Springs welcomes travelers to its accommodating space for soaks, a hearty meal and live music in its famous Saloon.
Brickhouse Band offer up their seasoned talents on August 5th and 6th. The Billings-based performers will be sure to pack the dance floor with rockin’ crowd favorites and other jams. Grab a drink from the bar and boogie down!
Enjoy a special Sunday show with the river rock and mountain Americana of Boot Juice on Aug. 7th at 8pm. The seven-piece floats from bluesy rock n’ roll to progressive bluegrass, inspired by the likes of Railroad Earth and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
If you missed them at Pine Creek, the Red Elvises suit up once again for a midweek Chico show on Aug. 10th at 9pm. With humorous lyrics and grooves that practically force you to dance, their “Siberian Surf Rock” guarantees a night of solid entertainment.
Enjoy the authentic country of Ride Me Down on Aug. 12th. Frontwoman Katherine Taylor’s songwriting focuses on rural American tradition and serves as a perfect complement to a night in the Saloon.
Tamela the Band takes the stage on Aug. 13th. The frontwoman is a country pop singer/songwriter whose inspiration is based in her relationships, experiences and zest for life. Bassist Kent Garwick and drummer Rich Williams will be on hand to round out her sound.
Performing Aug. 19th and 20th is Montana band Quiet Coyote. Known for their roots rock, country and reggae fusion, the guys will perform a selection of originals and audience favorites.
Chico gears up for the return of its Annual Neighborhood Block Party featuring www.TWANG on Sunday, Aug. 21st. The BBQ, beer and margaritas will be ready to order at 5pm, followed by the music and street dance at 6pm. The truck drivin’, heart breakin’, honky-tonk dance band has been offering up real country music to their fans for decades. These guys take no prisoners and leave nothing but happy dancers in their wake. Don’t miss their “real deal, premium country music” show!
The Paul Lee Kupfer Band performs Aug. 26th and 27th. The frontman offers an distinctive approach and inventive, fun arrangements. Restless touring and writing has allowed him to share the bill with some of his heroes and bring his music to many different kinds of people across the country.
Iowa-based Larry Myer brings his summer tour to Chico on Sunday, Aug. 28th at 8pm. The energetic singer/songwriter and acoustic performer delivers an aggressive performance that connects with a wide array of audiences.
