Paradise Permaculture Institute will present A FREE Movie event, Wednesday, June 1st at the Livingston Public Library from 7-8:30pm.
Laundry to Landscape: A Simple, Efficient, Economical, Easy-to-Use Greywater System was created by Art Ludwig, author of Create an Oasis with Greywater. A 30-minute discussion will follow the movie. Please contact Mona at (406) 222-9999 with any questions. Then, come to a hands-on, fun opportunity to glean many ideas to apply to your own gardening space! Discover how to water your trees and plants with rainwater and greywater during Phase 2 of a Paradise Transition Garden backyard transformation on Saturday, June 4th from 9am-5pm in Livingston. Learn about holding water on the land to feed what you would like to grow using techniques from permaculture design to conserve city water use. There will be materials on site to implement safe redirection of greywater from a washing machine to favorite backyard trees or plants and create a raingarden (redirecting rainwater from the roof). As time allows, participants will freshen up on Phase 1 which was started last fall: replenish sheet mulch for planting area; plant a few vegetable starts; and mulch for weed prevention. Cost to attend is $60 per participant. Register or learn more at paradisepermaculture.org/.
