Bozeman’s own symphonic orchestra and choir continues its classical series with the next showcase in its 2022-23 season this month. Bozeman Symphony will present “Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony & Bartók” with performances on October 29th and 30th at the Willson Auditorium in Downtown Bozeman. The Saturday show will be held at 7:30pm, then again on Sunday at 2:30pm.
Join during Halloween weekend for Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5. The performance will take audiences on a journey through darkness and light, traversing the composer’s struggle with fate and its many mysteries. The program opens with Bartók’s Piano Concert No. 3 featuring world-class pianist Michael Sheppard.
Known as “a virtuosic soloist possessed of power, sensitivity, earthiness, and humor” (Whitney Smith, Indianapolis Star) with the “power to make an audience sit up and pay attention… thought-provoking for performers and listeners alike” (James Manheim, All Music Guide), Sheppard trained with the legendary Leon Fleisher at the Peabody Conservatory. He has performed solo recitals and concertos throughout the United States and around the world.
Adult admission for “Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony & Bartók” begins at $29 with discounted student tickets available.
