Support STEAM education with Science Center evening benefit
Montana Science Center is hosting their signature event, An Evening in Science, in support of science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) education. It will take place at 6:30pm on Friday, February 25th at Riverside Country Club. The event is the largest fundraiser for MSC and features an adult science fair setting with exhibitors from across the community showcasing the science and technology behind their business.
“Once again, we are bringing together science supporters for a fun-filled evening helping to provide STEAM learning experiences for the children and families of our community. The event was virtual in 2020, we postponed 2021 – this year, in-person, will be a black-mask event,” said MSC Board President, Brian D’Urso.
Attendees can look forward to exhibits focused on the latest technology being developed here in the Gallatin Valley and beyond with an emphasis on the ways we move. And, MSC will highlight innovative exhibits from the center. There will be paper airplane launchers, drones, telepresence robots and more. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to attend to claim the title of Gallatin Valley’s Best and Farthest Flying Paper Airplane.
“We are thrilled to be able to share an evening in science,” said D’Urso. “As a local non-profit providing unique, hands-on experiences for families and kids of all ages we know our mission is critical to filling the gap in education that kids have experienced. The Center relies on support from individuals, businesses and foundations to lower barriers to access to science and technology discovery.”
“Attendees can expect to have a lot of fun while learning about the incredible science happening in our backyard. Throughout the night, I will be told ‘MSC gives adults permission to play,’ it always happens” said Executive Director Abby Turner. “We invite anyone that supports education, kids and families to come join us.”
Tickets are available online at www.MontanaScienceCenter.org or by calling (406) 522-9087. All proceeds benefit STEAM education and programming.
