Pick an outdoor Pine Creek show in July

The beautifully situated Pine Creek Lodge in Paradise Valley offers an extensive slate of live music to keep guests and others entertained through the summer.
The Scooter Brown Country Jam for the Vets will unfold on Saturday, July 8th beginning at 5pm. The event will raise money for 501c3 nonprofit organizations Base Camp 40, Warriors In The Wild and Warriors & Quiet Waters. Both organizations use the great outdoors as a form of therapy and rehab for combat veterans. The evening will feature food and auction items, and live performances by: Morgan Crouse, Stewart Ray, Jason Wickens, Quenby Iandiorio, Scooter Brown Band, and more. Tickets are $20.
The young frontman of Scooter Brown is an Iraq war veteran, having completed one tour of combat duty as a U.S. Marine. When faced with the daunting decision to either reenlist or pursue music, Brown chose to trade in his rifle for a guitar and put together a band with some of the best musicians Texas has to offer.
Frogleg is set for Wednesday, July 12th with help from Maggie Koerner beginning at 7pm. Frogleg is a fresh young band out of Minneapolis. Known for their songwriting and improvisational live performances, this seven piece would be best described as a soul band, as their influences are not drawn from one specific genre. A typical Frogleg show will usually features a unique blend of funk, reggae, rock, jazz and bluegrass. Tickets are $5.
The Moves Collective perform alongside Sneaky Bones on Thursday, July 13th at 7pm. Moves Collective frontman Tim Norton sayd, “At our core, we have a mission to ‘Move in the Moment’ through improvisation, sharing our unique songs, experiences and stories with audiences across the globe. Our intent lies in finding connection with others through the beautiful language of music.” Recently winning ‘Best Americana’ in the 2017 San Diego Music Awards, the band will be working on their third record, expected to be released this fall. Tickets are $5.
Pinky and the Floyd return to Pine Creek on Friday, July 14th at 7pm. Pinky puts on an amazing live show that’s both note-for-note and improvisational, but it’s their superb musicianship setting them apart from other tribute bands. Their energy and stage presence is unprecedented! Pinky offers up a big sound and is an experience not soon forgotten. You can expect albums in their entirety, and a little something from every Floyd genre — from Syd Barrett to Division Bell, and everything in between. Tell your friends…and time your buzz. It’s a party! Tickets are $17 in advance and $20 at the gate.
Introduce yourself to Satsang when they perform with help from The Railsplitters on Saturday, July 15th at 7pm. The conscious music collective of Satsang blends world-conscious lyrics with a unique variety of roots music, folk, indie rock, and hip-hop. A live show is everything that the band name suggests: a gathering of people to assimilate and share their truths. The rhythms and energy put forth by the band keep everyone on their feet, and the lyrics leave them craving active and immediate change. Their latest album, Pyramid(S), was released in March. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the gate.
Closing out the weekend, Doc Tari brings a show on Sunday, July 16th at 6pm. Doc Tari is a one-man-band playing American Roots music. He found his musical voice while living in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward, where music and creativity make daily and deep impressions. Playing guitar, harmonica, foot-pedal drums and singing songs in country, blues, gospel and folk styles, Doc Tari seeks to put on a fun, lively and move-your-feet kind of live show.
