Cheap Trick, Foreigner’s Lou Gramm & Zakk Sabbath are Rockin’ the Rivers
Get ready to rock! Rockin’ the Rivers is set to return to The Bridge near Three Forks for its 2019 event. The riff-heavy festival will be held Thursday through Saturday, August 8th–10th with a hair-raising slate of performers.
This year’s festival will feature legendary rock band Cheap Trick. One of the most covered bands of all time, they’ve been blending elements of pop, punk and even metal in an way that is instantly catchy and recognizable since the ‘70s. With timeless classics like “I Want You to Want Me,” “Surrender,” and the late-80s lighter-waving favorite “The Flame,” they’re a musical institution. Cheap Trick has thousands of performances under their belt, as well as 20 million records sold, countless movie soundtrack credits and numerous recording awards, gold and platinum. Their latest release, We’re All Alright!, is available now.
Another can’t-miss performance comes courtesy of Zakk Sabbath featuring Viking Thunder God Zakk Wylde. Assemble your crew of head-banging hellions and get ready to thrust your metal horns into the sky! Fronted by the heavy metal, mind-bending guitar shredder, the tribute features an all-star roster of metal musicians kicking out the sickest jams from the first six Black Sabbath albums. Get ready for some uncompromising, unfiltered, no bullshit rock n’ roll.
Lou Gramm visits The Bridge to perform the hits of Foreigner, his former band. “Foreigner became the first group since the Beatles to have their first eight singles reach the Billboard Top 20, with hits such as ‘Cold as Ice’ and ‘Long, Long Way From Home’ taking the world of rock music by storm,” said show creators Devgel Productions. “Gramm has also enjoyed a successful solo career in between hiatuses with Foreigner, with his 1987 debut Ready or Not further proving his versatility in the music industry.” Joining Gramm will be British musician John Payne performing selections from his former progressive rock group, Asia.
Other festival highlights include Warrant, Saliva, Dokken, Adelitas Way, The Guess Who, Hinder, Dead Fervor, Pinky & the Floyd, Nova Rex, Whiskey River, Comatose Posse, and Hot for Teacher. Additional performances by Spekatlas, The MAX, Call of the Awakened, Blue Tattoo, Stranded by Choice, Dead Presleys, Break the Broken, Scratch, Exit 288, White Boy & the Average Rat Band, Voodoo Cadillac, Crashdown Butterfly, Downtime, and more!
