Regular live music comes standard at Bozeman Hot Springs. The venue features an outdoor stage with weekly live music showcasing regional and traveling acts every Thursday and Sunday at 7pm. Enjoy the area’s best musicians this month.
First up, the Pinky Duo tunes up the audience on May 4th. Dustin Tucker and Luke Flansburg will bring the full band’s energy to this toned down but still hugely entertaining set. The show will feature everything from acoustic Pink Floyd covers to originals by both artists, among other selections.
Check out Daily Confused on May 7th. Playing a groovy mix of alternative rock and funk, this four-piece deems their music as “ski-rock,” even though it’s perfect for any time of the year. They play originals with a few covers scattered throughout.
Arterial Drive frontman Drew McDowell visits the Hot Springs on May 11th. With a home base of Billings, McDowell has been writing songs and performing in Montana for over five years. He plays a poppy indie rock sound with a healthy blend of amazing originals and classic covers.

Salt Lake City-based Columbia Jones & the Harpoons bring their spring tour to Bozeman on May 14th. The band uses smoky, dirty blues sounds to blend a wide variety of covers and originals. With an almost unreal mixture of instruments from a bass drum, tambourine, upright bass, guitars and harmonica, this trio can make just three people sound like a full band.
Madeline Hawthorne performs on May 18th. Following the recent release of her first solo album Boots, the singer/songwriter expertly blends folk, roots, country and soul. Hawthorne has become an expert storyteller through her music, transforming pain into beauty and doubt into hope.
Bozeman’s own Dad Habit helps soakers groove on May 21st. The funky instrumental rock comes courtesy of local musicians Garrett Rhinard on keys, Joe Sheehan on drums, John Griffith on bass, and Stephen Brown on guitar. Playing everything from covers of recognizable tunes to full jam sessions, the foursome will provide the perfect grooving experience for a fun Sunday night.
Helena-based trio Beat Deaf take the stage May 25th. They’re known for their “vaguely folkish alterna-rock” originals and select covers. Each of the band members come from very different backgrounds and musical tastes, making for an exciting musical fusion.
Eclectic funky Cole & the Thornes entertain on May 28th. The mountain-island-infused soul band is a modern funk group that blends sultry vocals, gypsy-jazz guitar, playful horn melodies and reggae-style ukulele for a truly unique sound. Check out their debut album, Mapmaker, and follow-up single “Vagabond” now.
Looking to a new month, Brice Ash kicks off summer-lite on June 1st. His performances consist of multiple genres, from classic-sounding county music to modern-styled rock music. Ash will bring a little something all will enjoy.
