Opening the Heart Meditation Class
Angela use to live from the neck up, her heart completely closed so she wouldn’t get hurt again. But when she founds herself on the floor of her living room having a panic attack and severe anxiety, she knew she couldn’t keep her heart closed any longer.
She turned to meditation. After 15 years of Buddhist study, many weeks in silent meditation and learning the practice of loving kindness, she shares her practice and open heart with you.
Join Angela Marie Patnode, Transformational Coach and Spiritual Teacher, for a meditation course on Opening the Heart starting October 4 in Bozeman.
In this 4 week series, you’ll explore the meditation practices (the 4 sublime abidings) of opening the heart as is taught in the Buddhist Tradition: loving kindness, compassion, empathetic joy, and equanimity.
Through each meditation practice, your heart has an opportunity to open to its true essence and the greatest gift you have to give and receive – love. What softens and can be left behind is resentment, anger, jealousy, pity, and fear – experiencing a true sense of freedom!
This class will also focus on connecting within and connecting with others for more peace, joy, and happiness within.
This course is open to all – wherever you are on your path. All experience levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Meditation, dharma talks, and group discussion will be a part of each class.
Class is Tuesday’s October 4-25 from 7:15 to 8:30pm at the Emerson Cultural Center, Pure Healing Yoga Studio, 111 S. Grand Suite #285 (West Wing). Live-streaming and recordings available for each class.
Suggested donation: $46 for all 4 classes or $13 per class. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
