Positively NEGATIVE ions at Norris – good for what ails you!
How can something negative be positive? Negative ions are odorless, tasteless, and invisible molecules that we inhale in abundance in certain environments. There are many health benefits of negative ions and part of them are related to the proximity of water in all kind of forms, starting with the sea, lakes, cascades, and summer rains, to an air humidifier or even a shower in your home.
Over time the beneficial effects of negative ions to our health have been demonstrated. They help with relaxation, enhance the immune system, and reduce the symptoms generated by cold and flu, like sinusitis, migraine and fever. Negative ions facilitate breathing and decrease asthma crises by increasing the lungs capacity, and also relieve allergies by killing airborne germs and allergens.
In nature, hot springs and waterfalls also have a surplus of negative ions – which occur in the journey the water takes. We can benefit from these negative ions by being around waterfalls (absorbing them as they come loose) or bathing in the water of a natural hot springs (like Norris Hot Springs).
Try to spend time outside as much as possible to benefit from the proximity of water, sun and fresh air – and where better to enjoy those benefits than Norris? Summer is in full swing with the 50 Mile Grill cranking out nightly featuring an amazing selection of locally sourced proteins, the No LoOse Dogs Saloon serving the finest local greens, pizzas, nachos and more.
