The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Montana State University will present “Holding the Community Together” for a Friday Forum on March 10 via Zoom. The event will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
As Bozeman and surrounding communities grow, the Human Resource Development Council, or HRDC, helps residents gain and maintain economic stability by providing programs such as emergency assistance, transportation, senior services and more.
HRDC’s CEO Heather Grenier and development director Kristin Hamburg will provide an update on its community commons development. The new campus, which will be based in north Bozeman, will provide a single location for access to food, housing, energy and additional support for community members who need it. The campus will eventually be home to the Gallatin Valley’s first year-round emergency housing facility. In addition, Sunshine Ross, HRDC’s transportation director, will present information on a ballot issue for the May election to form an urban transportation district.
Participants can share comments and have their questions answered as time permits.
Participants must register before 11 a.m. Friday, March 10. For more information or to register, visit montana.edu/olli/register or call 406-994-6550. Upon registration confirmation, participants will receive an email with the Zoom link and instructions on how to join the program.
Friday Forums are offered on the second Friday of each month from September through May by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at MSU. OLLI at MSU is a program of Academic Technology and Outreach.
