MSU Wonderlust lifelong learning programs open for registration

BOZEMAN — Registration is now open for fall courses and programs offered by Montana State University Wonderlust Lifelong Learning, a program of Academic Technology and Outreach.
Wonderlust offerings include courses, workshops, lectures, forums and book discussion groups for the intellectually curious ages 50 and up. All courses will be offered via Webex.
Eleven noncredit enrichment courses and workshops will be offered this fall. Topics to be covered include chemistry in the kitchen; fake news and questionable science; Montana art; world mythologies; the art of bonsai; the fall of Rome; the five senses; caretaking of loved ones; reading with dyslexia; religion and U.S. presidents; and measuring the pulse of Yellowstone. Wonderlust courses typically occur once a week over four to six weeks. Costs for courses and workshops range from $55 to $75 with a Wonderlust membership.
Wonderlust will also have eight side trip lectures from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays. These lectures will cover topics including chronic wasting disease; cultural geography in Medicine Wheel country; attention and cognitive control of behavior; and fear and fascination of spiders. Side trips are free with a Wonderlust membership.
In addition, Wonderlust will offer book discussion groups, special events and free lectures sponsored by the public libraries in Belgrade and Bozeman.
