You Can’t Take It with You is a timeless comedy that celebrates the power of love, family and community. It is a heartwarming and hilarious reminder that the most important things in life aren’t things at all.
Tony works for his somewhat stuffy father as a junior vice-president on Wall Street. Alice is a secretary at the firm. Tony’s strait-laced mother belongs to the local country club and rubs shoulders with the elite. Alice’s relatives, the Sycamores, are an eccentric bunch who collect snakes, dabble in ballet and xylophone and experiment with homemade fireworks. When the two families meet, worlds collide in this Pulitzer Prize-winning classic of American theatre.
Packed with loads of laughs from start to finish, You Can’t Take it With You features an all-star cast of talented veteran comic actors including John Hosking, Rhonda Smith, Susan Miller, Ryan Lawrence Flynn, Ryan Cassavaugh, Frank Simpson and more. All seats for this fall production are $36.
Wine, beer and concessions will be sold in the lobby one hour before each event. Ticketing and further information about these performances and upcoming events is available at www.theellentheatre.org. For additional inquiries, call the box office at (406) 585-5885. •
