Montana PBS programming aimed to support students learning at home continues in September

BOZEMAN — This fall Montana PBS is continuing its commitment to making resources available to every pre-kindergarten through 12th grade student and teacher who needs educational resources for learning at home with its “Learn at Home, Too!” programming, which will relaunch in September.
As part of its efforts, Montana PBS will air award-winning children’s programming every weekday morning and afternoon for children ages 3 to 8, plus selected programs from noon to 3 p.m. for kids ages 9 and older, that is paired with digital curriculum-aligned lesson plans to match the broadcast programming.
The daytime weekday schedule is dedicated to Montana state standards-aligned educational programming provided by Montana PBS and the Office of Public Instruction. Subjects include language arts, social studies, science and math. Montana PBS’ regular primetime schedule is not affected by this change.
“After a full academic year of Learn at Home programming, we’re excited to continue this newer, condensed version of the initiative, so we are providing succinct and easy-to-access digital learning resources for families and educators, no matter their learning environment,” said Nikki Vradenburg, director of education at Montana PBS.
Free educational resources will be updated monthly on Montana PBS’s Learn at Home webpage throughout the fall and include the following:
- Distance learning webpage: View selected monthly educational resources as well as articles and activities created and/or vetted by the Montana PBS education team, other public media organizations and other trusted education partners. Visit montanapbs.org/learnathome.
- Digital media collections: View and download full resource collections on PBS LearningMedia that correspond with the TV broadcast schedule. Collections include curated media and lesson plans, which are sorted by grade level and subject area. Visit montana.pbslearningmedia.org. •
