Delivering the next in its 2024-25 performance series, Montana Chamber Music Society will present Two Violins and Piano on Friday, January 24th. The concert will be held at Reynolds Recital Hall on the Montana State University campus. Music begins at 7:30pm.
Featuring a trio of talented musicians, the performance will showcase violinists Angella Ahn and William Hagen, as well as Albert Cano Smit on piano. Program will include Franz Schubert’s Wanderer Fantaisie D.760 (1822), Sergei Prokofiev’s Sonata for Two Violins in C major, Op. 56, Dmitri Shostakovich’s 5 Pieces for 2 Violins and Piano, and Moritz Moszkowski’s Suite in G minor, Op. 71 for Two Violins and Piano.
The trio’s regional tour will include “An Intimate Evening of Music & Conversations” at Belgrade’s Willow Spring Ranch on Jan. 23rd at 6:30pm and a rural concert on Jan. 25th at Manhattan’s Bethel Christian Reformed Church at 2:30pm. Admission to all regular Montana Chamber Music Society performances is $35 for adults, $25 for seniors, and $10 for students. Tickets may be purchased at www.montanachambermusicsociety.org. These are also available at the door, depending on availability. Net proceeds from these programs support MCMS’s mission to present great chamber music performances throughout Montana year-round. •
