‘Lunch on the Lawn’ to sounds of local musicians every Wednesday
Join your friends and neighbors for a summer favorite at the Emerson. The 2019 Lunch on the Lawn series continues every Wednesday from 11:30am–1:30pm through August 14th.
A Bozeman tradition, this free community event features live music, local food vendors, children’s activities and representatives from local nonprofit organizations. Entertain the kids while enjoying music and mingling with other parents. Take a break from the workday, grab a bite to eat, soak up some sunshine, listen to some great tunes, and enjoy a good conversation or two, all while sharing in the community spirit that makes Bozeman legendary.
Rock n’ rollers the Tyler James Brigade descend on the lawn July 17th. “Tyler James Brigade is a band sent straight from Americana heaven – the band is tight, and complements the existence of pure rockability,” writes reviewer Julie Corredato. “Tyler James Brigade is promising, soothing, and carries a world of sunny days for those who stop and appreciate this voice and swarming melodies.” Fronted by singer/songwriter Tyler James Haugum, the powerful Bozeman band is rounded out by a handful of the area’s best musicians.
Following the grooves of Robiletta, Tsuru & Greenberg on July 24th, the Bridger Mountain Big Band closes the month on July 31st. The 17-piece jazz orchestra celebrates the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and more, with original arrangements and music of all genres from the 1900s to today.
Future Lunch on the Lawn performers include Beat Deaf on August 7th and Sparkle Bear with The Tingle Hoarders finishing off the series on August 14th.
Food vendors this year include Totally Tasty Food Truck with an organic menu of sliders and assorted hot sandwiches; Bubby’s Cuppa Jo with espresso beverages, taco in a bag, salads and pulled pork sandwiches; and Batter Queens with sweet and savory Liège waffles. And for dessert, ice cream and roasted nuts from Genuine Ice Cream. Delish!
