LUMINOUS at Eagles club sunday 2-4-18 at 7 pm

Built around the unmistakable sound of the vibraphone, Luminous is a trio of experienced musicians. Their sound is created by a dedication to exploring harmonic possibilities, an unwavering focus on improvisation, and a deep commitment to groove and rhythmic solidarity. Each musician draws upon a wealth of experiences from other musical contexts. Vibraphonist Silas Stewart also performs as a rock drummer, contemporary percussionist, and jazz sideman. Behind the kit, Jeff Jensen is also a skilled vocalist, Americana singer, and a bluesman at heart. Michael Steele, on upright and electric bass, is an accomplished jazz and classical guitarist, composer, and pit orchestra musician. Within the spacious musical format of a trio, they are completely free to express their own personal truths, creating an unadulterated musical journey for the listener.
