The Downtown Bozeman Association is proud to present the 19th Annual Music on Main Summer Concert Series in historic Downtown Bozeman. Music on Main festivities will take place on Main Street between Rouse and Black Ave. on Thursday evenings through mid-August. The music begins at 7pm and runs until 8:30pm.
Nashville-based songstress Lauren Morrow takes over on Thursday, July 25th. With a high-octave range and a Georgia drawl, she isn’t here to sing a love song – she’s here to tell a story. Bringing selections from her eponymous debut, the EP not only showcases Morrow’s flawless vocals and intricate songwriting, but her willingness to take risks, an edge that makes her stand out from the Nashville norm. Her ingenuity shines through in the studio and on stage. Whether she’s singing a murder ballad or an vintage, classic-country sounding banger, there’s a unique impression she leaves that lingers.
Hailing from North Lake Tahoe, California, Americana band Dead Winter Carpenters step in on Thursday, August 1st. The band has built a reputation for pouring their heart and soul into each performance. Reminiscent of genre-benders like Jack White, Chris Thile, and Sam Bush, the Carpenters harmoniously blend refined musical ability with a scarcely restrained tendency to let it all hang out. The result is a controlled burn, a riveting sound, and a connection with fans that sells out shows and has the band sharing stages with the likes of Jason Isbell, Greensky Bluegrass, and Hard Working Americans. Their latest release, Washoe, is available now. Read the BoZone’s interview with frontman Jesse Dunn at BoZone.com.
Future Music on Main events this summer include The Rad Trads on August 8th and The Outer Vibe closing out the series on August 15th.
Bring the kids from 6:30–8pm for the Coca Cola “Kids’ Zone” on South Bozeman Ave. which will feature bouncy houses, hula hooping, and more! Grab a bite to eat from one of the many rotating food vendors, step into a few of the downtown stores that’ll be open late, and of course, enjoy outstanding live music from popular local and touring bands. While Music on Main features an open container waiver, attendees are reminded that NO glass and aluminum containers or coolers are allowed in the event area. These are smoke and vape-free, family friendly evenings. Please leave the pets at home.
Music on Main is a FREE community event hosted by the Downtown Bozeman Association and funded by its many generous business sponsorships. Please visit www.downtownbozeman.org to learn more about the 2019 series. •
