Instagram & The Cloud highlight return of F-11 classes
F-11 Photographic Supplies’ information and experience-rich classes are back in 2018, ripe with opportunities to get a handle on your devices and interact with knowledgeable instructors. Here’s a look at what’s coming up.
The monthly meeting of the Bozeman Photoshop Users Group follows Tuesday, January 9th from 6:30–8pm. F-11 and Adobe have teamed up to build an interactive community of Photoshop Users in a learning environment with members who are willing to share their knowledge and realize their vision. FREE course Intro to Instagram is set for Saturday, January 13th from 9–10am. Become an Instagram Pro with instructor Brooke Welch. Check out Adobe InDesign: Document Layout & Design for Print on Wednesday, January 17th from 6–7pm. What does it mean when your printer or designer requests a “print-ready document”? Get the answer and find out how to make one using Adobe InDesign in this one hour tutorial with F-11 Photo’s digital press guru Seth Ward.
Tour the basic tools of InDesign and learn the structure of InDesign documents. Get essential tips on designing flexible and high quality documents for print, including how to work with multi-page layouts, using master pages and elements, and variable data (such as mail merge). Compare and contrast InDesign with other Creative Cloud apps like Photoshop and Illustrator. Learn how they can work together to improve your documents. Looking ahead, get acquainted with Basic Photo Editing on Thursday, January 18th from 6–8pm. Confounded by your supposedly simple photo editing app? No problem. Sit down with instructor Becca Tatarka to learn the basics for how to take your photo from drab to pop without overdoing it.
Learn proper photo editing workflow, along with essential details like the distinction between local and global adjustments to photos. Begin to develop a personal style style while keeping the “dos” and “don’ts” in mind. Experience the difference between ideal and kitschy. Registration is $49.99.
