The outdoor performance space at Bozeman Hot Springs has become a go-to for live music lovers, whether the sun is shining or the snow is flying. On November 7th, catch a solo show by Chris Cunningham. One of the front-men of the legendary Bozeman folk duo Storyhill, he has become one of the most decorated music veterans in all of Montana. Playing with an array of local musicians, Cunningham brings a unique blend of bluegrass and folk music on harmonica, guitar and vocals.
Check out the 5th annual Bass by the Water event on Nov. 10th. Featuring forward-thinking bass legend Frequent, this year’s headliner is the epitome of bass music as art – his music is experimental, full of meaning and deeply psychedelic. He will play a journey set which ranging from expansive downtempo to a massive crushing finale. Local support comes courtesy of Party Sauce, DJ ACHE and PRICERIGHT throwing down beats as the music commences.
Enjoy a performance by Cap’n DH Billy on Nov. 14th. The Bozeman based solo rock artist has been playing guitar and singing around the area for years, featured in bands including Bluebelly Junction and Petty tribute The Waiting. He performs everything from originals to well-known rock numbers, something for everyone to enjoy.
The Lena Marie Schiffer Trio entertains on Nov. 17th. The frontwoman is a folk singer and songwriter known for her decade-long journey with bluegrass group, Laney Lou & the Bird Dogs. She is driven by a distinctive fusion of folk, indie, and Americana influences. Her trio project formed in 2024 and features Ani Casabonne on fiddle and Kailey Marie on upright bass. This cohesive group is bound by original songwriting, intricate vocal harmonies, and folk instrumentation.
Groove out to the sounds of Ben Morris on Nov. 21st. One half of the Butte-based electro-funk duo Desperate Electric, he will bring the band’s style to a more laid-back, intimate showing. Featuring acoustic versions of band originals and those solely written, also expect a handful of groovy covers during his show.
The Scurry descend on the Hot Springs on Nov. 24th. Featuring the frontman of Billings-based Arterial Drive, Drew McDowell delivers a poppy indie rock sound rounded out with a healthy blend of originals and classic covers. Prepare for an amazing show.
