Now in its second year, this program brings a lively audience of adults to the Farm by pairing the Gallatin Valley’s brewing past – presented by MOR Curator of History, Michael Fox – with beer tastings from local breweries. Each presentation explores a unique historical topic to complement an equally unique local brew. *September’s event will be early to accommodate the Farm’s closing date.
September 15 – Saisson and the brewing traditions of Belgium
with Outlaw Brewing Company & MAP Brewing
Originating in Belgium, Saisson is a farmhouse style of ale that was brewed during the winter months for summer drinking. We will look at this variety and also learn about Belgium’s long tradition of brewing distinctive breer and ales. We have recently seen some very interesting (and delicious) Belgian style ales coming from Montana breweries. Learn how, and when, to seek them out.
