Handcrafted cocktails & acoustics in Bozeman Spirits’ tasting room
Bozeman Spirits is warming folks up with cold drinks and hot toddies this Montana winter, but the popular tasting room also hosts live music by local musicians every Tuesday night from 5:30–8pm. Here’s a look at the upcoming acts.
Local artist Josh Moore performs Tuesday, February 5th. The North Carolina native is the Bird Dogs’ lead guitarist – and croons, too! Laney Lou & the Bird Dogs fuse old time folk songs with a rock n’ roll attitude, pushing the envelope of what a string band would generally be described as. Their latest album, The Vigilante Session, released last year. Come enjoy Moore’s stripped-down renditions!
Lang Termes follows Tuesday, February 12th. Lang’s vocal style ranges from mellow folk ballads to growling boogie blues. His style of songwriting – both original music and lyrics – comes deep from the heart, or in some cases, bubbles up from his whimsical sense of irony. Lang’s selection of covers ranges from early country blues to the full gamut of contemporary classics. A few of his biggest influences include Muddy Waters, Woody Guthrie, Bruce Springsteen, Eddie Vedder, and Townes Van Zandt.
Then check out a performance by Adam Crowson on Tuesday, February 19th. Enjoy an adult beverage and listen to some great acoustics from this fine fellow.
Betsy Wise of local group Acony Belles performs a solo set on Tuesday, February 26th. She draws inspiration from luminaries like Gillian Welch, Patty Griffin, and the Wailin’ Jennys, while keeping in touch with the simple roots of blues, bluegrass, and Americana. Along with performing her originals solo, Wise lends her talents to other local bands including the Hooligans and White Sage. She’s skilled on the guitar, ukulele, and clawhammer banjo.
