MSU Chorale Joins the Symphonic Choir
Nearly 50 students of the Montana State University Chorale will join the Orchestra and Symphonic Choir for performances of Gustav Mahler’s Resurrection Symphony on April 7th and 8th. The combination of performers will bring together over 200 musicians on the Willson Auditorium stage along with special guests Colleen Daly, soprano and Margaret lattimore, mezzo-soprano, under the direction of Maestro Matthew Savery. We caught up with one of the University students, Lane Colombik, to ask about the upcoming performance. Lane, a sophomore majoring in criminology from Miles City shares: “I enjoy singing with the MSU Chorale because it’s awesome to be able to sing at such a high level and be able to challenge each other to learn tougher, but more rewarding music. I’m looking forward to singing the Mahler with the Bozeman Symphony because I think it will be a very cool experience. We don’t always get to sing with symphonies, so I just want to enjoy it while I can.” Lane has been singing in choirs since the eighth grade.
