Launched in 2008, Headwaters Country Jam was created to bring live country music in a festival atmosphere to Montana and the Northwest. The festival takes place at the venue known as The Bridge, an area near Three Forks comprised of 159 acres and is the final resting ground for the historic Sappington Bridge that once spanned the Jefferson River. Sixty acres are used for the state-certified campground, which holds 1,200 20×40 sites. Within the venue is a 12-acre arena where all the magic happens. Live music from national and local acts plays all day and into the night. Aside from the music, festival-goers can enjoy horseshoe tournaments, dance contests, mechanical bull riding, as well as food and merchandise vendors. •
