World renowned Christian singer/songwriter Robin Mark will be performing in concert at the Willson Auditorium on Tuesday, September 15th at 7pm.
Hailing from Belfast, Ireland and playing with a 9-piece band, Robin brings his unique Celtic approach to contemporary Christian worship music. His most recognized songs include “Days of Elijah”, “Revival”, “All for Jesus”, “Ancient Words”, “Lion of Judah”, “The Wonder of the Cross”, and “Shout to the North”. He has released 13 albums with worldwide sales of over 2 million and received the International Artist of the Year at the 2004 Dove Awards. Robin’s signature style of songwriting has spawned hymns of praise and worship which have consistently become the anthems for churches around the globe. His Irish musical influence is obvious…many songs are filled with lilting melodies played on fiddle, flute, or penny whistle. His songs span the spectrum of musical styles, including Celtic, folk, rock, country, and bluegrass. Robin’s concerts leave audiences not only energized and impressed by the quality and variety of music, but also uplifted by his moving spiritual delivery. Participants are encouraged to join in singing and worship. Robin’s first recorded album in 1992, Captive Heart, included several songs that are still used in worship not only in Northern Ireland but also around the world. Ensuing albums,
‘Not by Might’ and ‘Days of Elijah’, became best sellers in Ireland in the mid-1990s and news of Robin’s songs and albums spread fast throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom. Europe quickly embraced Robin’s new albums, including the award-winning ‘Mandate Series’, providing a unique blend of old and new songs played lived before the U.K.’s largest men’s conference. These recordings captured the unique and intensely emotive sound of thousands of male voices joined in praise. In 1999 Integrity Music signed Robin to record the seminal Revival in Belfast album, live at his home church Belfast Christian Fellowship. Relying on local worship musicians and American recording engineers, the spirit of worship at CFC was captured in what was to become one of the world’s most popular live worship albums of all time. Robin continues to write and record and is now with Incite Media in Nashville, recently adding two further albums, ‘Liberation Praise’ and ‘John Wesley’.
