Filler Jams feature Boy Named Banjo & a FUNK-filled benefit
Frozen Monkey and ChickenJam West present the 2020 Funk Meltdown on Saturday, March 14th. An annual benefit for Big Sky Youth Empowerment, this year’s event will feature grooves by Sneaky Pete & the Secret Weapons and Tsunami Funk at 9pm. Tickets to this 21+ party are $11 in advance and $15 at the door. Doors at 8pm.
Themes for the celebration are Mustache March, Funkiness and Winter Culture. The evening will include door prizes, drink specials, dance off and costume contest. Rock the ‘stache, style all the way out, don those funky threads and take your groovy gear for a spin around the dance floor!
Nashville alt-country group Boy Named Banjo visit Bozeman on St. Patrick’s Day, Tuesday, March 17th. The music starts at 8pm. Tickets to this 21+ show are $11 in advance and $15 at the door. Doors at 7pm.
Following their debut Long Story Short, the band broke through in 2015 as part of the Bonnaroo lineup. Their sound has since grown into an energetic blend of country, alternative rock and folk-pop that has audiences smiling, clapping and dancing at venues across the country. Boy Named Banjo’s latest single “Emotions” arrived this fall ahead of their new album to be released this year.
