Live acoustic music takes the stage every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night at 7 pm. Kicking things off on Friday, February 16th is Poppy. Poppy is a Bozeman-based duet and consists of songwriter Aaron Banfield (guitar, vocals, harmonica) and Cate Schroeder (vocals). They’re an eclectic blend of Americana, folk & blues singing cover songs as well as Banfield’s originals with some sweet-talking commentary. Poppy’s sound lies somewhere along the lines of a zesty Bob Dylan-June Carter sandwich, toasted with honey-butter. https://poppymusicmt.wixsite.com/poppymusic. On Saturday, February 17th, welcome Michael Hoffman. Michael is a musician from Bozeman who recently moved to Cut Bank, MT. He has been playing music in one form or another for most of his life and spent nine years on the road with Montana’s favorite outlaw country band, the Dirty Shame. At their peak the band performed 120 shows a year including weddings, special events and opening for major touring acts. As a solo performer, he enjoys playing to all types of crowds at venues including breweries, parks and private events. His sets include early country, the likes of Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson & Johnny Cash. He has a growing repertoire of original songs that he enjoys performing which span several genres. https://youtu.be/nxFPIzMzJR0 https://youtu.be/S9CR_y4icC0 https://youtu.be/PcK1dIfUAsU https://youtu.be/k9Vqhhk5mSg. Featured at the Red Ants Pants festival, Chad performs original and thought provoking folk songs, many of which are featured on his “Wisdom Road” CD.
