Family Promise Launching Annual Spring Into Action Event
Bozeman, MT (April 27, 2023) – Family Promise of Gallatin Valley is launching their annual Spring Into Action event this Saturday, April 29th at 10 am. This event is the nonprofit’s largest community donation drive. Volunteers will be at four storefront locations: Town and Country-East Main, Rosauers, Walmart, and Albertsons in Belgrade. Donations will be collected from 10 am – 4 pm and will support the operations and programming of Family Promise.
Family Promise is a nonprofit organization that supports families in the Gallatin Valley experiencing a housing crisis. In the last fiscal year, the number of individuals receiving services from Family Promise has more than doubled. “The need is there,” says Angela Davis, Community Engagement and Volunteer Manager. “Families; moms, dads, children are in need. In need of housing, in need of food, in need of resources, and in need of a clear pathway to secure, stable livelihoods. That’s what we offer and that’s what Spring Into Action helps to make possible.”
Between their three programs, Family Promise works with over 100 families at any given time. Last month, Michelle and her three kids moved out of a Family Promise emergency shelter and into transitional housing. Family Promise was with Michelle and her family every step of the way, providing all the support they needed to prepare and move into their new home including bath towels, kitchen utensils, hygiene products, furniture, and more. These items all came from generous community members who donated to Family Promise. The Spring Into Action event collects needed supplies to support families just like Michelle’s.
