The brilliant fall foliage is on full display, but there are still opportunities to enjoy the Southwest Montana outdoors before the first snow. The Livingston Tourism Business Improvement District has announced the second annual 2nd Street Oktoberfest to be held on Saturday, October 12th from 4–7pm.
Raise a glass and your spirits at this family friendly harvest fest in the heart of Livingston. Enjoy brews, autumn drinks and foods, live music and kids’ activities, or kick off your holiday shopping at great 2nd Street shops. Admission is free and there will be fun to be had for all!
The event will include a lively beer stein holding contest for adults, interactive kids’ activities, delicious autumn food & drink specials from local vendors, food trucks with a variety of offerings, live music from crowd-favorite band, The Beagles, and a chance for shopping at locally owned small businesses.
Connect with friends and neighbors at the Community Table while soaking in the festive atmosphere. Whether you’re downtown for the fun competitions, to sample great food and drinks, or to support local shops, Livingston’s Oktoberfest promises something for everyone.
During the event, 2nd Street will be closed to traffic for the block party just past Park St. from the alley near the Owl Lounge and Post Office to Lewis. Shops all along 2nd and throughout downtown will be open late, offering great shopping, dining and special seasonal deals. The Oktoberfest event is open to the public and all are welcome. Returning for its sophomore event, the 2nd Street Oktoberfest is a project formed in collaboration with local businesses, sponsored by the Tourism Business Improvement District, whose efforts work to enhance the vitality of Downtown Livingston by facilitating commerce, enhancing streetscapes, conducting maintenance as well as improving security and safety. •
