ABOUT THE STIBITZ-WILSON AWARDS

The American Computer & Robotics Museum has hosted the Stibitz-Wilson Awards for more than 20 years to celebrate groundbreakers in the computational and biological sciences. The 2024 Stibitz-Wilson Awards recognize these medical innovators who are working at the leading edge of technology to improve human health and surgical outcomes:

  • Maya Ajmera, whose leadership at Society for Science has shaped global scientific discourse, advanced public understanding of science, and significantly impacted educational outcomes

  • Dr. Charles Limb, for innovative work in auditory prosthetics and brain mapping that has furthered the integration of medicine and technology to enhance human well-being.

  • Dr. Russell Taylor, for groundbreaking applications of cutting-edge robotics in medicine that have revolutionized modern surgical procedures.

  • Dr. Irving Weissman, for transformative contributions to stem cell biology and cancer research.
