Join us for a special screening of Matthew Barney’s Redoubt (https://www.tinworksart.org/exhibitions/matthew-barney-redoubt) , followed by a conversation with historian and writer Betsy Gaines Quammen and renowned wildlife biologist Doug Smith.
Author of American Zion and True West, Quammen collects stories to make sense of the west—a place defined by colonization, extraction, rebellion, myth, beauty, and land. Smith is a wildlife biologist who led the Yellowstone Wolf Project for nearly three decades, playing a crucial role in the 1995 reintroduction of gray wolves to the park. Quammen and Smith will discuss the myths, controversies, and characters featured in Barney’s Redoubt.
