National Trails Day – Highland Glen Nature Preserve
June 1 @ 8:30am
NATIONAL TRAILS DAY
JUNE 1, 2024
Want to get your hands dirty? Grab a shovel and volunteer for National Trails Day. Every year on the first Saturday in June, hundreds of community members join GVLT for a morning of work to maintain or build our community trails. This event is free and open to the public.
National Trails Day is our largest trail volunteer project every summer and this year we’re heading to Highland Glen Nature Preserve. Bring your family and friends and join us as we spruce up this beloved trail.
- Parking: Softball complex parking lot at the corner of Highland Blvd. and Ellis St.
*If possible, please carpool, bike, or walk. - Check-in: Begins at 8:30 a.m. After parking, visit our Welcome Tent to sign in, meet your work group, and walk to your project site.
- Event start: 9 a.m.
- BBQ: Once we finish clean-up at noon, Yellowstone Bank is generously hosting a celebratory BBQ in the parking lot.
- What to bring: Make sure to bring sunscreen, work gloves, water, and any other gear required by the weather of the day. We’ll meet rain or shine!
National Trails Day also kicks off our annual Summer Trails Challenge! Every mile you spend on the trails from June 1-27 will be matched with $1 from our community business partners so don’t forget to log your miles!
