Community Forum: What Losing Nutrient Standards Means for Our Rivers
November 17 @ 6:15pm
Join us for a community briefing on Montana’s rollback of numeric nutrient standards, what it means for clean water, river health, and pollution permitting, and what you can do to take action.
Guy Alsentzer, Executive Director of Upper Missouri Waterkeeper, and Dr. William Kleindl, Ecologist and Professor at Montana State University, will be presenting on the legal and scientific implications of the repeal, and will provide actionable steps for community members to take to stand up for clean water in Montana.
Can’t make the event but want to stand up for clean water? Sign our petition today calling on Montana Dept. of Environmental Quality to stop issuing pollution permits without a plan for controlling nutrient pollution: https://www.uppermissouriwaterkeeper.org/take-action-sign-the-petition/
