Dirty Old One Man Band, Metallica tribute front special Eagles shows
Beat the spring fever with a night downtown! Bozeman’s Eagles Bar features a full calendar of solo musician sets and full band showcases for all the live music fans out there.
A special event kicks off the month when Scott H. Biram performs with help from JD Pinkus of Butthole Surfers and Melvins on Wednesday, April 6th. Local group Gallatin Ghost Train will open the show at 8pm. Advance tickets are $15 or $20 day of show.
Fever Dreams, the 12th album from the Texas-based “Dirty Old One Man Band,” is a fervent yet intimate collection of blues, classic country, and rock-n-roll sealed with punk and heavy metal. The album delivers another gritty glimpse into the salty world of roadworn hearts and mismanaged emotions. Laying down his bare soul at the people’s feet, the record dips and sways with tales of hard, homesick traveling, lost love, overindulgence, spiritual rejoice, and tributes to some of his favorite music pioneers.
Close 2 Toast follow April 8th and 9th. Formed from all the right elements found within the Gallatin Valley comes a band like no other, with songs to warm your heart, make you cry and dance.
Take in the acoustic stylings of local favorite Mathias on April 13th. With powerful vocals and a percussive guitar style, he’s known for his dynamic live performances full of acoustic folk, rock, and funk tunes.
Country rockers BlueBelly Junction return April 15th and 16th. The “rockabilly” group brings an arsenal of originals and personalized covers. The high-energy band tends to veer away from slow jams, other than the occasional tune.
Also on April 16th, Metallica tribute band Blistered Earth performs in the Ballroom with help from Goners UK at 7pm. Tickets are $15. 21+. Playing classic songs ranging from “Kill ‘Em All” to selections from the band’s self-titled release, this tribute pays its respects to one of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time with the raw energy, showmanship, look and song selections that die-hard Metallica fans want to see and hear.
Singer/songwriter Hannah Jo Lally performs April 20th. From Reed Point, enjoy an evening of country cuts and distinctive originals.
Eclectic rockers Daniel Kosel & Madrona Road are back on April 22nd and 23rd. They’ll bring visceral blues, sweet country and sultry rock with hot, tight grooves audiences can boogie down and shake it on the dance floor to.
In the Ballroom on April 23rd, the Countship of the ISCSM hosts “A Night at the Theater Drag Show” at 8pm. Enjoy an evening of drama and magic on the stage! Admission is $8 for this 18+ event.
Guitarist, singer and songwriter Matthew Vander Sande takes the stage with a one-man show on April 27th. Settle in for a night of smooth strings and original lyrics by this talented local.
High-energy dance outfit The Mighty Flick closes out the month April 29th and 30th. Performing throughout Montana venues since the late ‘80s, their enthusiasm and love for music is contagious, sometimes inspirational and always entertaining.

Make sure to check out Bridger Mountain Big Band on Sunday nights. The ensemble performs at 7pm. The 17-piece jazz orchestra celebrates the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and more, with original arrangements and music of all genres from the 1900s to today.
