Two teenage girls meet at summer camp and discover they are twin sisters who were separated at birth by their mother and father. Together, the ladies scheme to reunite their divorced parents by swapping places. The film features an incredible soundtrack, including such hit songs as “Let’s Get Together” and the title track “The Parent Trap.” Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day early! And in style…with a showing of The Quiet Man on Saturday, March 5th beginning at 7:30pm. Tickets to this showing are $4 plus fees at the box office. From renowned film director John Ford, The Quiet Man is the story of Sean Thornton (John Wayne), an Irish-born American who returns home in the hopes of reclaiming his family’s farm. Thornton is met with conflict when he encounters local landowner Squire “Red” Will Danaher (Victor McLaglen) and finds himself keen on the red-headed beauty Mary Kate (Maureen O’Hara), who happens to be Red’s sister. In an attempt to respect and abide by local Irish customs, Thornton discovers the significance of a dowry, with some drinking and fighting along the way. The Quiet Man won two Academy Awards, including Best Director, and was nominated for Best Picture. The film also features the talents Barry Fitzgerald, Ward Bond, and Mildred Natwick. The New York Times said of the film, “The Quiet Man is grand and glorious fun, enacted with gusto and directed with loving care by a master of his craft.” For questions about these events, ticketing information, or other inquiries, visit theellentheatre.com/ or call The Ellen box office at 406-585-5885. •
