Though outdoor shows are preferable to many Montanans, we’ve got some time to kill before our favorite bands hit the plein air community stages. Plan a weekend trip to Chico Hot Springs this snowy season for a chance to soak the joints, feast on some delicious grub and enjoy live music in the Saloon. Here’s a preview of the event calendar this month.
BlackWater Band bring back-to-back shows on Feb. 10th and 11th. The rock n’ roll variety group will have you off your feet and on the dance floor in no time, so take a swig of your preferred flavor and get that liquid motivation flowing!
The Blake Brightman Band plays for Saloon-goers Feb. 17th and 18th. The five-piece follows the frontwoman’s lead with an energetic set of hits and originals. The singer/songwriter’s stylings fall somewhere between country western and Mississippi blues, with her own modern spin.
On Feb. 24th, Helena’s Ten Years Gone performs one night only. The band is all about performing great, danceable music – everything from classic rock to alternative, funk, country, pop and dance. They always bring a crowd and an excellent sound.
Billings cover band The Repeat Offenders take the stage Feb. 25th for their first appearance at Chico. The multi-piece sticks to paying tribute to hitmakers from the ‘80s to now, putting their rock n’ roll spin on rock classics and other genres like hip-hop and pop.
Live Saloon music begins at 9pm. Chico Hot Springs is located in Pray, 20 miles south of Livingston. For more information and to make a reservation, visit www.chicohotsprings.com. •
