Norman Huynh conducts Carrie Krause for a spring performance of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto as part of Bozeman Symphony’s current season. Performances will be held March 22nd and 23rd. Saturday show begins at 7:30pm, followed by a closing matinee on Sunday at 2:30pm. Both will be held at the Willson Auditorium in Downtown Bozeman. Pre-concert talks are scheduled to begin one hour prior to each performance.
This concert spotlights beloved Concertmaster Carrie Krause, performing Ludwig van Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, which is considered to be his most lyrical work. Following will be Walker’s Lyric for Strings, an impactfully poignant piece that Walker dedicated in memory of his maternal grandmother, who escaped from slavery. Then be transported to Italy with Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4, The Italian, which evokes the sights and sounds from his 10-month trip to the country.
Performances are March 22nd and 23rd at the Willson Auditorium. Individual tickets are available for purchase online at www.bozemansymphony.org or by phone at (406) 585-9774. Tickets at the door based on availability. Adult tickets begin at $30 with student-discounted tickets available.
