As the fall season approaches, local audiences have several opportunities to experience the national tours of some of the music industry’s brightest stars at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
First up, Ian Munsick brings his “Country & Western” tour to Bozeman on Friday, September 6th. Opening support comes courtesy of the Randy Rogers Band and Ryan Charles with the music set to begin at 7pm.
A native son of Wyoming, Munsick is painting a stampeding, spirited portrait of the American West with his sophomore album White Buffalo, out now. The 18-track album spans unfiltered tales of romance and ranch life, hard-working anthems with honkytonk hooks and mountain-time odes to family and forever-young fun. It builds upon the spacious roots-pop beauty he introduced on his major label debut, Coyote Cry. Over the past three years, the 30-year-old has accumulated over half a billion global streams and a host of accolades. He has been named an “Artist to Watch” by Spotify, CMT, Fender, MusicRow and more. A seasoned entertainer, having grown up tending cattle by day and playing music in a family band each night, Munsick toured recently alongside country music superstars Morgan Wallen and Cody Johnson.
Corey Kent is set for a Friday, September 13th, show as part of Alpha Gamma Rho’s annual Testicle Festival. Mike Ryan and Tanner Lewis will be on hand to warm up the crowd for the 7pm show.
A native of Bixby, Oklahoma, Kent has been poised for a career in music from the beginning. A fan of anyone bold enough to walk their own path, he grew up on the music of independent-thinking stars like Randy Rogers Band, Turnpike Troubadours and even Willie Nelson – unconventional Texas/Oklahoma legends who toured hard, took creative chances and weathered all storms. Following hit singles “Wild as Her” and “Something’s Gonna Kill Me,” Kent comes to Southwest Montana in support of his newly released LP, Black Bandana, featuring “Now or Never,” a collaboration with Lauren Alaina.
