Please join MSU Students Against Sexual Assault (SASA) for the third annual Bozeman Monologues. Deriving its inspiration from Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues, the monologues provide a platform for Bozeman community members to tell their own stories of gender, sexuality, and relationships in personal, powerful, hilarious, and at times, difficult, ways. The 2016 Bozeman Monologues are sure to inspire laughter and promote awareness about often unspoken issues that impact our community members on a daily basis. Based on interviews and stories on sex, relationships, and violence, the play delves into the mystery, humor, pain, wisdom, outrage, and excitement surrounding their life experiences.
The Bozeman Monologues are set to take place Tuesday, March 8th at 7pm at the Crawford Theater in the Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture. Tickets to this event are $5 or $3 for students and will be available at the door. First come, first serve admission. Doors open at 6:30pm.
All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit SASA’s Survivor Fund, which directly assists survivors of sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking. Students Against Sexual Assault (SASA) is a student run organization at Montana State University which strives to spread empowerment and healthy relationships through education and activism. They are a group of passionate students dedicated to community and campus outreach on increasing awareness of stalking, relationship violence, and sexual assault. In addition to its heavy emotional impact, crimes of sexual and relationship violence can impose tangible financial costs on the survivors. All proceeds will benefit the MSU Students Against Sexual Assault Survivor Fund, a fund to directly assist survivors of sexual assault and relationship violence. The Survivor Fund provides financial support to survivors throughout the Gallatin valley and has a significant impact in helping all members of our community affected by these crimes.
