Bozeman Film Society proudly presents the critically acclaimed, award-winning Cold War BFS features portrait of post-war Poland, return of Mountainfilm
On Wednesday, February 27th at 7pm, Bozeman Film Society proudly presents the critically acclaimed, award-winning Cold War at Downtown Bozeman’s Ellen Theatre. The film is a passionate love story between a man and a woman who meet in the ruins of post-war Poland. With vastly different backgrounds and temperaments, they are fatefully mismatched and yet condemned to each other. Set against the background of 1950s Poland, Berlin, Yugoslavia and Paris, it’s the tale of a couple separated by politics, character flaws and unfortunate twists of fate – an impossible love story in impossible times.
Directed by Pawel Pawlikowski, writer/director of the Academy Award-winning Ida (2013) and starring the arresting Joanna Kulig and Tomaz Kot, Cold War has garnered Best Director at Cannes Film Festival, six European Film awards, and is nominated for the Academy Awards. Rated R, the film runs 89 minutes. Presented in Polish with subtitles.
On Wednesday, March 6th at 7pm, BFS again partners with dZi Foundation for an evening of inspiring and captivating films at The Ellen, hand-picked from the Mountainfilm Festival held each spring in Telluride, Colorado.
