Blue Slipper Theatre reopens curtain with The Approach
The Blue Slipper Theatre is excited to announce upcoming productions of The Approach, a play by Mark O’Rowe. Featuring Cara Wilder, Quenby Iandiorio, and Meriweather Campbell, the production is directed by Sherry Pikul.
Written in 3 scenes that take place over about 5 years, O’Rowe, artfully depicts the complexity of a long-term relationship between three women. Simple conversations over tea reveal a deep rift between two sisters, common loss, betrayal, and manipulation. Underlying O’Rowe’s seemingly benign dialogue about book clubs and kitchen remodels are unsettling moments where the character’s common memories and experiences are called into question. O’Rowe creates a complex puzzle of human interaction, demonstrating the character’s evolving human perspective. His writing is a study in the subtleties of human conversation.
Performances will take place at the Blue Slipper Theatre in Livingston on Friday and Saturday, Sept 17 and 18, at 8PM, and Sunday, Sept 19, at 3PM. A second weekend of performances will take place at The Story Mansion, 811 S. Willson Ave, in Bozeman, October 1, 2, and 3.
Seating is limited and reservations for the Blue Slipper Productions will be online only.
