All you need is Blub
Consider Blub. Much like love, Blub is a four letter word. Blub is also a new project band from the Livingston songwriter Danny Bee. Mr. Bee’s first group was the cult rock band Brown. After repeated mishaps involving the use of live apes on stage, Brown was forced to disband. Then he formed the bar band known as Big Ol’. Apart from dance music, Big Ol’ featured ventriloquism and chainsaw juggling. Legal conflicts arose over the use of the loveable ventriloquist dummy known as “Stumpy”. Apparently Stumpy was licensed to a Buffalo, NY comedian named Pudgy Mills. Mr. Mills sued Big Ol’. The group caved and went off to join the Band of Drifters.
Now along comes Blub. Blub’s material ranges from teenage love ballads to hard rock tales of monkeys taking control of the world. Blub sounds like the head of Medusa. Blub is John Sanders on bass. Blub works on the beach or the dance floor. Blub is Michael Gillan on drums. Cher recently described Blub as “the sound of three hands clapping.” Blub is paintable and won’t shrink when dry. Blub is Bill Dwyer on electrified guitar. Blub offers a shoulder to cry on and ample parking. Blub is Danny Bee on microphone and some guitar. Folks come running for the fresh taste of Blub.
