Big Sky Resort launches season pass lineup for winter 2018-19
Gold Pass benefit includes half-off tickets at all Mountain Collective resorts
One lucky Big Sky Resort season pass holder who purchases a Gold Pass for the winter 2018-2019 season will take a heli-ski trip with friends to the top of Lone Peak in the beginning of May.
Big Sky Resort [recently] unveiled its season pass lineup for the winter 2018-2019 season, bringing back a similar lineup of passes as last year at a variety of price-points.
All guests above age 18 who purchase in full a Gold Pass – Big Sky’s premier, all-access pass – before April 8th will be automatically included in a raffle to win the “Golden Ticket,” a single day heli-ski trip at Big Sky Resort for themselves and two friends. The drawing will be held April 9th. The winner will get to ride untracked runs off Lone Peak at 11,166 feet on a day of choice between May 1st and May 7th from 9am–1pm with a champagne lunch following.
An added benefit to the Gold Pass this year includes 50 percent off lift tickets to all of the 16 destination mountain resorts that are part of the Mountain Collective. Big Sky Resort joined both the Ikon Pass and Mountain Collective for the 2018-2019 season. The resort is introducing new, more affordable pricing for seniors or “legends” ages 80+ and for all young adults, ages 18-25 (college ID not required). Some passes have new names inspired by Montana gems and metals. Payment plans for most season passes are available at only $99 down.
Season pass holders for the 2018-2019 will enjoy a new state-of-the-art, eight-seat, high speed chairlift – the first of its kind in North America. The Doppelmayr D-line eight-seat chairlift, Ramcharger 8, will include heated seats and “Big Sky blue” bubbles and will service riders on Andesite Mountain.
Big Sky Resort also has plans to replace the Shedhorn double with a high-speed quad. Not only will the new high-speed chairlift decrease the ride time by two-thirds, but also it is more wind-resistant, increasing the number of days of operation on that side of the mountain.
For the best price, purchase a season pass product for the 2018-2019 season by April 8th. •
