BridgerCare is set to host Beyond the Birds and the Bees: A Guide to Teenage Sexual Health and Relationships on Saturday, February 27th at the Beall Park Recreation Center beginning at 10am. Teenagers, do you have “burning” questions about sexually transmitted infections, contraception, healthy relationships, coercion or gender and sexuality? Your peers from Bozeman High have the answers!
Teens of all ages are welcome to join Bridgercare and Bozeman High Peer Educators from 10am–noon to participate in interactive activities to help them learn the facts about their sexual and reproductive health, with condom bingo to follow at noon. Register to win great door prizes such as lunch at Clark’s Fork, spa treatments from Health Works, and a tux rental from After 5 and Weddings.
For parents who want to learn more, BridgerCare will host a Parent Information Session on Wednesday, February 24th at 6pm in the Large Community Room at the Bozeman Public Library. This event and its prior information session are free and open to the public. BridgerCare’s mission is to “provide excellent, affordable reproductive and sexual healthcare and education in a safe, supportive, empowering atmosphere.” Offering support to men, women, and teens, Bridgercare is one of the largest non-profit family planning clinics in Montana. Aside from the 20% from federal funding and grants, the remaining funds primarily come from donations and visit fees. These fees are based on patient income and are assessed according to ability to pay. The clinic depends on you to pay for your care or make a donation at the time of your visit so that we can continue to provide personal, affordable, and professional service. Bridgercare always accept new patients, and no one is denied services due to inability to pay. They are happy to provide care to clients with private insurance and Medicaid coverage. You can still apply for the sliding fee scale regardless of insurance coverage and they will simply adjust any balances from insurance to your discount level if you qualify.
