Local artist and MSU Undergraduate student, Ben Pease, will show a new body of work this February in the Emerson’s Lobby Gallery. Ben is from the Crow and Northern Cheyenne Nations of South Eastern Montana. He has been practicing as a professional artist for almost four years and has exhibited his work around the United States. His work and process is continually evolving. He is currently working on narrating the Aboriginal struggles and aesthetics through his own personal interpretations. Whether viewed as an activist or cultural recorder he feels the need to educate and speak volumes. Transitioning himself from a “Rez-Kid” to a culturally rich, contemporary storyteller.
