Montana Backcountry Alliance was created in 2005 to provide a unified voice for an otherwise loose and solitary band of backcountry skiers and riders. MBA works to protect, expand and enhance non-motorized backcountry winter recreation areas. The organization is made up of volunteers who strive to build a community of traditional, human-powered winter recreationists while preserving Montana’s quiet winter wild lands. Montana Backcountry Alliance is a partner group of the nationally focused, Winter Wildlands Alliance. Learn more at www.montanabackcountry.org. •
